Vintage folding Kodack cameras as well as Eastman Kodax Brownis (made by Eastham Kodak, of course), whilst uncommon, are not unknown. And Zuiss Ikonia have had their moments. As well as Ziess Iconia. Such strange words from times past.

More recently there was a 'Vintage Browning Camera'    (i.e. Kodak No.2 Brownie) which brought up as similar listings: 'Vintage Patent Browning Bolt Gun 1899' and 'poems by E.M. Browning 1844 Vintage'.

But it's Voigtlander which show the most inventiveness. Of course, it doesn't help that the name is written in a script such that many sellers can't interpret the curly 'V'. And the German script 'tl' in the middle is the major cause of confusion as, to the inexperienced eye, it looks like an 'h'.

Seriously though, its various interpretations beg serious questions about some people's reading ability. Are they simply deficient in the skill of copying? Or is this an outward manifestation of dyslexia proving that it's rather more prevalent than previously thought?

Most of the cameras have the name in script on the body. Some have it also embossed in the case. But all have the word printed clearly in white letters around the lens. Which suggests that the sellers simply don't look.
