Wainwright gives Causey Pike's height as 'approx. 2035ft' (Book 6: Causey Pike 6), saying: "There is no official height ...... generally it is quoted as 2000', an approximation, but the 2½" OS map show three contour rings at 2025'. The eastern knob appears to have a slight advantage in altitude, a matter of a few feet only." Hence his estimate of 2035'.  However, our latest metric mapping gives the height as 637m, which converts to 2090ft.
